Gotta Start Somewhere!!!

Writing a blog is something I've wanted to do for a while. You are probably asking WHY haven't you? My reasons (excuses) are many, depending on the day.

"I don't think I have a story!"

"Who would want to read it?"

"I don't have the time to do it the right way!" CAN YOU RELATE ?

GULP!!!

Here ya go...

A little about me. I grew up a Country Girl. Born and raised our family in the Central Valley of California. Only lived within a 30-mile radius until November of 2019. My husband Dave & I currently reside in Emmett, Idaho. It's a cute little commuter town north of Boise. The view of the Valley in the fall when we visited that very first time was spectacular. I'll never forget as we drove over the mountain on Highway 16, the color of the trees was absolutely breathtaking. A perfect place to start our next season in life.

I'm an entrepreneur and NOPE, I didn't attend a traditional college. I've regretted that my entire life, and the reason I encouraged both my girls to attend college. The experience and that diploma is something nobody can ever take away. As a 19 year old, newly married(practice marriage), and a receptionist at Quality Oldsmobile & Cadillac. I quickly realized that I wanted something more but the traditional college route wasn't in the cards, I needed to generate income. The quickest way, I knew was to use my creativity and so I chose the path of a trade school, cosmetology. I didn't pursue the cosmetology license, because the fastest path was to become a licensed manicurist. Work ethic, tenacity, family first and always find humor are traits I learned from my Dad. I worked long hours and having the ability to make my own schedule so that I could attend my kids activities was a priority. Learning to become a good listener, I made amazing relationships by making women feel heard and that they mattered. Besides, I could not imagine hearing me talk about myself on those 12 hour days. I joked about not wanting to become Madge from the Palmolive commercials. Yes, was referred to as Madge by an EMT who was called to the Salon. I later looked in the mirror and realized...dang it, I'm wearing cheater glasses!!! Utilizing my customer service skills has enabled me to generate residual income through direct sales. There's always a way to generate income.

I'm a connector and my passion is creating truly authentic relationships. The simple things in life make me the happiest. Time with family, a clean house, and a day on the lake feed my soul.

I hope you'll visit often to read more about my journey. The good and the not so good, you'll be guaranteed it to be true and authentic.

Until next time,

Mindy
